Save money while doing good for the environment!

Despite maximum durability and quality, tools reach their wear limit sooner or later. But we can even get a lot out of your worn tools with proper recycling! In return, you will receive a credit note from us, which you can redeem the next time you buy a tool.

Did you know what was in your worn tool?

High levels of sought-after materials in your carbide tool holder cobalt (Co) and tungsten (W). Depending on the hardness of the hard metal, the tungsten content is between 65% and 90%, that of cobalt is up to 25%. Cobalt is also required for the production of lithium-ion batteries, among other things, and is one of the most sought-after materials due to increasing e-mobility.

The primary extraction of cobalt and tungsten through ore is complex — in order to obtain one ton of tungsten, 250 tons of ore must be mined and processed. Recycling used hard metal has a much better material yield and a better environmental balance: In the manufacturing process using hard metal recycling, 40% of the CO can be produced using primary raw materials2-Emissions (taking into account chemicals, etc.) and 75% of primary energy used are saved.

Overall, this makes the extraction of raw materials through recycling much more efficient, saves large amounts of energy and protects the environment.

Which tools can be recycled.

We recycle all tools: HSS, VHM and carbide-equipped.

What do I have to do.

Pack all tools (drills, cutters, saw blades, etc.) in a box and send it to us.

It is not necessary to pre-sort on your part. We'll take care of that.

After we have sorted and recycled the tools by material, you will receive a credit from us. You can redeem them with your next purchase.

How much is my tool scrap worth?

The credit depends on the current raw material price for the respective raw material.
